I am excited to announce that I have been selected to be Artist in Residence at Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography for Fall 2010. From September 25 – November 25, I will have access to Gallery 44′s facilities and support from their staff and members. The work that I create during my residency will be exhibited at Gallery 44 in December 2010.
Gallery 44′s residency program seeks to foster the artistic production and careers of artists, writer/curators and Gallery 44 members. Residency benefits have included access to Gallery 44′s production facilities, exhibition opportunities, and studio visits from local arts professionals, among others.
Gallery 44 is a non-profit artist-run centre committed to the advancement of contemporary Canadian photography. Their goal is to contribute to the national dialogue on contemporary Canadian photographic art practices and to foster its support, understanding and appreciation.
